Forensic Toxicologist I

Mara earned her BA in Biology from Bryn Mawr College in 2016 and her MS in Forensic Science from Arcadia University in 2026. Her graduate research focused on optimizing trace DNA recovery by comparing different swab types across various substrates, which she presented at the 2026 American Academy of Forensic Sciences Annual Conference. During her graduate studies, she was also recognized with the Fredric Rieders Award of Excellence in Forensic Science.
Before joining the CFSRE, Mara gained forensic toxicology experience as an LC-MS laboratory intern at NMS Labs, assisted with advanced forensic biology laboratory instruction at Arcadia University. She also brings several years of laboratory management, employee training, and project coordination experience from her previous roles at Woodstream Corporation.
Mara joined the CFSRE as a Forensic Biologist I and STEM Coordinator, where she supports forensic biology testing and research and helps with coordinating STEM education programs.
